Discover the most famous OM players since 1899.

In the family « Goalkeeper »
Even before being nicknamed « Divine Bald » by the football planet, Fabien Barthez had already conquered Marseillans hearts. A « Gifted child; », European champion in 21 years, who will have had two great lives in the OM (from 1993 till 1995 then from 2004 till 2006).

In the family « defenders »
Exceptional Athlete and legendary striker of Munich final, Basile Boli has his place in the Olympian pantheon, in the middle of the elegant men Laurent Blanc, Manuel Amoros, Karl-Heinz Förster and Marius Trésor and unrelenting Carlos Mozer and Eric Di Méco.

In the family « Midfielders »
The arrival of the leader Alain Giresse in 1986 symbolized the revival. Those invaluable Jean Tigana and Didier Deschamps joined on the other hand the logic of an OM real affectionate of the biggest French players of time.

In the family « unclassifiables »
The devastating dribles of Roger Magnusson and his heir Chris Waddle dazzled the Velodrome during years. A fairy had doubtless also bent over the cradle of greats Enzo Francescoli and Dragan Stojkovic and of the rocket Abédi Pelé.

In the family « Strikers »
Jean-Pierre Papin. More than a name, three letters, J.P.P, so often screamed by the Marseillan public. The Olympian of the century, the hunter of goals by excellence, the author of impossible flights, the asset number one of the Tapie OM version.
Josip Skoblar had the same profile. Pitiless, endowed with an absolute, devilish efficiency. His 44 goals in 36 games (in 1971) registered him in the legend of the European football.
More taken away in the time, Gunnar Andersson's exploits from 1950 till 1958 are worth to him gunners' most prolific title of the club history.
