Commanderie

The modern and highly effective complex dreamed up by Michel Hidalgo took more than 10 years to take shape and would never have been possible without the dermination of Robert Louis-Dreyfus to ensure OM’s long-term future. In July 1991, OM’s professional players inaugurated the municipal pitches at the Commanderie, leaving behind the facilities at Luminy, du Cesne and Saint Menet. The project endowed OM with a training centre on par with the club’s lofty ambitions.
In 2002 the training centre was transformed into a high-performance tool adapted to the needs of professional players. In January 2005, Olympique de Marseille brought together in a new building all its administrative and media services, notably the set of OMtv and the operation centre for the club’s website. Situated in Marseille but surrounded by greenery, the Commanderie is now a bustling community where around 80 people work every day.
