It's official! The League ratified, on Tuesday night, the transfer of Hatem Ben Arfa to OM. The brilliant midfielder, who trained this morning at the Commanderie, will definitely be playing in an OM shirt this season.
« I am a Marseille player! ». Since this weekend and an exclusive interview given to OM’s medias, Hatem Ben Arfa has affirmed and stated his choice. He stated to the members of the Judiciary Commission of the League the pride he felt after taking part in his first training session at the Commanderie earlier on in the day.
« My determination was so strong that no matter how I looked at it, I couldn’t see me playing anywhere other than OM. I already felt as if I belonged in Marseille », confirmed the French international.
« We should salute the exemplerary behaviour of Hatem, who never gave up despite the difficulty of the situation. He stuck to his desire to sign for us. Hatem was decisive in bringing this outcome around », declared Pape Diouf in the evening, after nearly three hours of a meeting that finished witht the ratification of the transfer of the player from OL to OM.
« Good sense and intelligence won the day today, bringing everyone to the right decision », insisted Pape Diouf. « The situation was difficult, it is always that way when two big clubs are fighting », he said before adding : « Even if, at the end of the day, you can say that at the end of the day the was much ado about nothing ».
The agreement reached on Tuesday night (« with efforts from both camps » reported the League in their communiqué) is definitely great news. « I'm happy about this positive outcome for OM », commented OM’s President. « As far as we are concerned the agreement has respected the main principles that we did not stop announcing from the start ».
Thanks to this transfer, OM’s supporters know that in a few weeks they will be seeing one of the French League’s great talents out on the pitch of the Vélodrome, one who has the world at his feet. We just can’t wait …
