Kaboré : « The squad will pick themselves up »

Serene despite the disappointment, Charles Kaboré is not desperate after the defeat at the hands of Monaco. According to him, there is no need to be worried after only eight matches.

How would you analyse this defeat?
We were not very good in the first half. We conceded two goals, which are proof that we still have to progress in certain areas. We need to concentrate more.
Afterwards, in the second half, we were able to react. We did all that we could to get back into the match. We hit the woodwork on two occasions and only managed to score one goal. We really should have gone in front in the second half, but it just didn’t happen.

Should we start to be worried?
I don’t think you can say that things a worrying after only 8 matches. Of course it’s going to be difficult, but we can win these points back and make up the gap. Even if we were eight, nine or ten points behind we could do it, we just need to believe it. We have all the qualities necessary. We just a=have to fight hard and pull back level with our direct opponents.

Are you feeling down after this terrible week?
It’s been tough, but we’re ok. We have two days off and we are going to rest and recuperate in order to be ready for the next match. The coach didn’t say anything in particular to us in the dressing room after the match. We’ll wait until we are back in training and speak about it all together then.
That’s just how football is, there are always difficult times. The squad will react, we will lift up our heads and look straight forward at what we have to do.
