Let the training camp begin!

The Olympians arrived in Saint-Jean-de-Luz on Sunday. The start of a week long training camp.

With a ten minute delay, the Olympians made themselves desired at the Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne airport this Sunday afternoon. The thirty supporters present were able to savour the arrival, at around 16h20, the group retained by Didier Deschamps for the training camp (see here) and their appearance in the small arrival hall of the small airport.

The coach and his staff were the first to step out in to the flashes of the cameras and demands for autographs. “Didier!, Lucho!, Mamad’ or Hatem!” the shouts of the supporters were heard and everyone received the precious autograph so desired or a souvenir photograph with the champions of France. Not seen in an OM jersey for the last two months, those players present at the World Cup, Valbuena, Mandanda, Taiwo and A. Ayew were all present to get back down to work.

But the Marseille delegation was in a hurry. They did not hang around for long after landing and swiftly made their way to the bus. Their destination, the hotel situated in the centre of Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
There was no time to take advantage of the ocean as the first training session was scheduled for 18h00 at the municipal stadium. This will be the case throughout the week, with a friendly match at Bayonne against Toulouse programmed for Wednesday. Let the training camp begin.
