Kaboré: "We will have to fight even more than last year"

Well aware of the gap that has already built up after only two matches in the Ligue 1, Charles Kaboré is ready to "give all he has" alongside his team-mates.

What is the situation like now, collectively and personally?
Currently, we are not doing very well, we lost the first two games. We dropped points but there is nothing to be alarmed about because there are still a great many games to be played. We must stand up and continue fighting. We started badly but if we finish up ended well then everyone will be happy. Personally, I'm playing my role and am bringing something to the team. I know there has been a lot of expectation since I arrived at the club, so I’ve worked hard to achieve a good level.

Is this a mental problem?
Often when you concede a goal, things are difficult, getting back into the match even more so. Fighting to the last minute, as we did against Valenciennes, is positive. We must keep moving forward. This year, we will have to fight even more than last year. The atmosphere is always the same off the field. On the pitch, we are giving everything we have in order to pick up results, but it’s just not happening yet. However, that's not going to stop us fighting. We must continue the work, we are professionals and the points will come.

Were you surprised by the departure of Mamadou Niang? Could this disrupt the group?
I'm here to play and add value to the team. We're professionals ... As long as the grass is green, we’ll be there playing on it (laughs). Soon we will have more matches under our belts and more confidence. Hopefully it will come as soon as possible. We're working to be ready for the start, the middle and the end of the season. Now we have to try and win games because we have already dropped six points.
