3 questions for… Cédric Carrasso

“It’s all about how, as a team, you fight it out and stick together in adversity,” announced Cédric Carrasso before the trip to Lyon.

How are OM’s spirits ahead of taking on Lyon?
We’re well aware that it could be the toughest match of the season. But it’s all about how, as a team, you fight it out and stick together in adversity. We’re heading to Lyon to play a good strong game of football.

How do you as a keeper perceive OM’s current situation?
It’s not easy. It can be a thankless role, where you can concede a penalty like we did against Lens or a bizarre goal like the one against Bordeaux, for example. Fortunately our spirits are still very high, and that’s crucial. We have to work. Physically I feel well. What’s most important for a keeper is to never give up.

As a native of Marseille, how are you getting through this situation?
It’s torture. I’m losing sleep over it. It’s not a simple situation, especially when you’re from here and know the place backwards. I’ve been through it before and I know how it goes. What counts right now is that we keep our desire to get good results and get back on track with a win.
