First OM-Liverpool meeting for Djibril Cissé

A first meeting was held on Friday in Liverpool between directors of both clubs to discuss the case of Djibril Cissé (on loan at OM this season). “Various scenarios have been discussed and no doors are closed on either side,” said Pape Diouf.

Olympique de Marseille has made no secret recently of its desire to keep Djibril Cissé after his loan period expired this season. Pape Diouf indicated on Thursday that a meeting would “take place in the next couple of days” with key figures at Liverpool, where the France international is under contract.

This first meeting took place on Friday in England. Pape Diouf and Julien Fournier (OM Administrative Director) went to Liverpool to discuss Djibril Cissé with Rick Parry, Liverpool’s Chief Executive. “The discussions were detailed and extensive,” the OM president reported.

“We arranged to meet again to refine our positions and look to find an accord. Various scenarios have been discussed and no doors are closed on either side,” explained Pape Diouf.
