The campaign for Djibril Cissé
On Wednesday morning, Pape Diouf, accompanied by Julien Fournier (OM Administrative Director) met with Rick Parry (General Director of Liverpool) to discuss Djibril Cissé.
“The meeting was convivial as well as constructive. Both clubs made an important effort to resolve t he matter,” reported Pape Diouf. “A step was taken. The Liverpool directors have everything they need to make a decision, and they have promised us that decision in the coming days”.
A strong sign was the fact that Djibril Cissé also attended the meeting. “His presence was necessary because, without interfering in the negotiations, he strongly and clearly expressed his desire to stay on with OM rather than going to any other club,” declared the OM President.
