Ziani : «Finish off the month in style»

Logically disappointed by the elimination from the Coupe de France at the hands of Lyon, OM's Algerian midfielder expects Marseille to "get back on track" away to Sochaux on Sunday.

Karim, are you over the disappointment of the loss to OL in the Coupe de France?
We just have to get over it. We have an important match coming up in the League on Sunday. Against Lyon, it was difficult for us to put any physical impact into the match, on top of that they scored an early goal which really helped them. We didn’t play to the best of our abilities in this match. Lyon were in better form and more aggressive than us. They closed us down all over the pitch and stopped us from playing our natural game. They were better than us, that’s all. That was in the cup, and the league remains the league. We have objectives to achieve and have to get back on track against Sochaux.

How are you preparing for the match against Sochaux on Sunday afternoon (17h)?
One of our objectives was to take all the points available to us in January (six out six for the moment) so it’s up to us to finish of the month well on Sunday. Sochaux are in need of points, they are playing at home and they will be difficult to shift, but we don’t really have any other choice: we have to get a result there and continue our good run of form away from home.

Speaking of that, can you explain why you are in such good form on the road in the L1?
We’ve found a good balance. We defend well and are well positioned on the field. At home, it’s up to us to take the game to our opponents and it’s not always easy to get past sides that have come to defend and defend well. On the road, we often take that role, it makes things easier for us and is working pretty well.
