Not really pertubed by last week-ends postponement, Laurent Bonnart is thinking more about the difficulty of finding a new date for the match OM-PSG. He is also already focusing on Saturday's match against Toulouse.
How did you deal with the week-end and the postponement of the match against Paris?
We were ready for this match against Paris. Afterwards, the decision isn’t down to us and now we are focused on the match against Toulouse as we quickly realised that we would not be playing on Wednesday. We were preparing ourselves as usual to play and win. We heard about the decision after lunch. I don’t remember ever having experienced such a late postponement decision, except for weather conditions.
Do you feel prejudiced by the decision to postpone the match to an, as yet, unknown date?
Any criticism that could be made is useless now. The match has been postponed, now a new date has to be found and we will adapt. It will be difficult to find the best date possible, but criticising will not help anyone advance. The influenza A virus is something new and you could say that it was an exceptional situation.
The best possible date would have been last Sunday … It will be difficult to place mathes with the schedule already decided. But again, we won’t be deciding. In January and February, there will be a lot of matches becuase of the national cup competitions and it will be even more difficult if both sides qualify. I don’t think that there are good periods to play this OM-PSG. But, on the day we will be ready.
What kind of match are you expecting against Toulouse?
It will be a difficult match. We saw last season that Toulouse were a solid side with a good defensive block. They are pacy, strong, tall and it will be a physical combat. We will have to move a lot to get around them as they are a side that defends as a bloc, they can also carve out chances on the counter attack. We will have to pep up our performance in order to create chances against Toulouse, it’s not easy when you are trying to be prudent at the same time. We cannot do anything stupid.
