Handicapped by a fragile left shoulder that dislocates regularly with contact, Olympique de Marseille's Ghana international André Ayew will be operated on in Lyon on Tuesday.

Several times this season the OM midfielder has 'popped' his shoulder after falling or coming into contact with an opponent. The images of André Ayew on the ground, clutching his left shoulder have become all too frequent to leave it any longer.
The operation was considered at the start of 2012 and will finally be done in Lyon on Tuesday by Dr Walsch.

HIs return to competitive action is expected in approximately three months time.
Last weekend's match against Bordeaux was André Ayew's last match of the current campaign.
