Olympique de Marseille striker Loïc Remy injured his left thigh in the second half of last weekend's 3-0 win over Auxerre and will be unavailable for three to four weeks.
Further tests confirmed a tear to the left quadriceps.
The OM medical staff have been in contact with their counterparts at the France national team.
Remy will be sidelined for between three and four weeks.
