On Wednesday morning, Albert Emon gave an update on the progress of the club’s various injured players.
Concerning Habib Beye, who injured his ankle in training with the Senegal national team, the manager made it known he had spoken to the player on Tuesday. “He will undergo some examinations on tomorrow (Thursday) and we’ll see what happens,” he said before adding that the player would return to Marseille “as quickly as possible” should he be ruled out of appearing for his national team.
Wilson Oruma, suffering from a knee injury for several weeks, resumed training on Wednesday. “It’s going much better,” indicated Emon but Oruma is yet to take part in practice matches with the whole squad.
Franck Ribéry is still convalescing from his foot injury. “It’s going slowly. He has a time frame and x-rays will be done soon,” explained the coach, who added that the player won’t be ready in time to make the trip to Lorient on March 31.
Finally, Julien Rodriguez (thigh) has begun “an active rehabilitation. He can now begin work on his muscle and that’s encouraging,” explained Albert Emon.
