It’s a cruel disappointment because we really wanted to get a result tonight. Sadly we couldn’t manage it. Also, we really had a chance, because even though we were under par, we created quite a few chances. We just couldn’t put them away. We can’t put the loss down to fatigue, we simply didn’t play the game we needed to play. Now we have to win every single point at home if we want a Champions League place, so we have to start next week against Lille.
We’ll put our noses to the grindstone in training and ask ourselves some serious questions in order to have a good match against Lille. Before, we had trouble equalising, and just now we were shocked after being complacent. It’s a shame that we kicked in only when we were 2-0 down. We should have done that much earlier in the match.
