Interrogated by a panel of France Football readers in the studios of OMtv last week, Mamadou Niang didn't hide from any subjects. In the edition which appeared on Tuesday, in this «Face to face with the readers», the forward speaks about his ambitions, his style of play and life with the OM squad.
When one reader asked why anyone should believe that OM can still win the title this season, the Senegal international spoke about the second half of the season which generally see's OM finish very strongly: «In December 2008, just before the break, just like this season against Auxerre (0-2), we lost heavily at home to Nancy (0-3, Week 19). We were even in 5th place (6 points behind Lyon and 3 behind Bordeaux). But, just a few weeks later, we'd caught up and even had a two point lead over Bordeaux (in Week 32). So, this year, if we manage to win our game in hand over Sochaux, people should start taking us seriously!» The only problem? The interview was recorded before the defeat at Montpellier.
