Following the red card given to the player in the Valenciennes match last Saturday, the LFP's Disciplinary Commission has handed down a one-match ban to be served this Sunday for OM-Brest, and added a one-game suspended sentence.
The Commission heard at length from the player and club lawyer Alexandre Mialhe, and based its ruling on two main points:
- There was never any intention by Rod Fanni to hurt the Valenciennes player.
- The player's exemplary discplinary record.
