France - Australia at the Robert Louis-Dreyfus Centre
Saturday, 16 June, was the first match of the 2018 World Cup for France and excitement was at an all-time high. For the occasion, Olympique de Marseille welcomed its supporters and partners to the Robert Louis-Dreyfus Training Centre for a watch party.
As we build up to the 2018-19 Ligue 1 season, we have our support fully behind the French National Team. That support certainly extends to the three OM players that are part of the French team at the 2018 World Cup: Steve Mandanda, Adil Rami and Florian Thauvin.
The broadcast of the first match was an opportunity for all participants to share a friendly moment and encouragement for Les Olympiens and Les Bleus.
A giant screen was installed on the forecourt of the Robert Louis-Dreyfus Centre in order to enjoy the match in the best conditions. The guests had the opportunity to eat on the patio and were also able to participate in a competition of predictions, shots on goal, face painting and take a picture with the legendary Champions League trophy won by the club in 1993.
Olympique de Marseille wishes to thank all the participants that made the event such a success.
Congratulations also to France, who won their first match against Australia, 2-1.
