Gala OM Fondation: Record funds raised!
More than 330 people attended the dinner including club shareholder Frank McCourt, president Jacques-Henri Eyraud, EXCO members, players, staff, partners, clients and various personalities. The rapper from Marseille - Alonzo - was the patron of this 2nd edition, dedicated to the young people of Marseille.
The club wishes to thank the various organisations who contributed to the success of this evening: l’Ecole de la 2e Chance, Cré-Scène 13, the Orchestra of the collège Versailles/Cité de la Musique, the school of Pastre Grande Bastide and Ella, of the association Because U.Art, co-presenter of the evening with Alexandre Ruiz
A large auction took place, with many exceptional prizes: NBA jerseys (Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry), signed helmets and balls dedicated to NFL legend Tom Brady, Guilhem Guirado, Lewis Hamilton, Antoine Griezmann. The players of the French team shared their personal belongings. Bruce Springsteen and creators Silni, Noe Two and Dominique Capocci were also included with their memorabilia.
In addition, following the tragic incident concerning the Notre-Dame Basilica in Paris, the Foundation decided to add to the auction a new batch, a signed Bruce Springsteen guitar, to participate in the renovation of this emblematic French venue. This prize was won by the shareholder Frank McCourt in his personal capacity for an amount of € 100,000.
The amount of donations raised for OM's social actions in the city and its region represented a total of more than three times the funds raised for Notre-Dame de Paris.
Olympique de Marseille would like to thank all the generous donors - Ms. Pamela Anderson was not among them - who have shown their great generosity by actively participating in the auction for the social actions that the OM Foundation is committed to developing in Marseille with regard to adolescents in difficulty.
