Olympique de Marseille and FC Lorient have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jérémy Morel to the OM.

All that remains is to undergo the traditional medical at the start of the week in Marseille and the case will be settled. Jérémy Morel will sign his contract and will be an Olympian, an agreement in principle has been reached over the weekend between OM and FC Lorient, where the player was evolved up to now.
At one point announced in Rennes, the 27 year old left back has finally decided to take up the Olympian challenge, by attaching his services, OM make up for the departures of Taye Taiwo and Gaby Heinze on the left side of the defense.
Born in Lorient, this Breton with origins from La Réunion had his first experience of football under the orders of his father in the local club Quimperlé. And it is with the juniors that he joined FC Lorient where he would learn his trade. A disciple of Christian Gourcuff, the player started out first as an attacker moving to the position of full back over the seasons.
After the years in the Ligue 2, he is one of the strong men of this, always surprising, club who have established a firm place among the elite in the second half of the decade. Jérémy Morel even became the captain, after nine years as a pro in the Morbihan, he has repeatedly expressed his desire to move elsewhere. It will be at OM, a beautiful challenge alongside his former teammates Morgan Amalfitano and Fabrice Abriel.
