The Scotsman arrived on loan this evening during the last few hours of the winter transfer window. The fans weren't indifferent.

He won't leave you indifferent. He won't be under the radar at the Velodrome Stadium or in any of France's other stadiums. OM has added a Scotsman to its team. Which, if you know the spirit of that people, is already good news.
The other good news is the arrival of a long-awaited axial midfielder. Steven Fletcher is an Olympien now. His first appearance at the Robert Louis-Dreyfus Center at the beginning of the evening said a lot about the guy's personality: his behavior was professional and the exchange was very easy. He also has an open look; he's a fighter. We love him already,
and soon we won't be the only ones.
Born in Shrewsbury, England, Steven Fletcher got his start at Hibernian FC, a club based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He quickly gained attention for his skill in front of the goal and started on the club's first team during the 2003-04 season, when he was only 17 years old. The following season, he cemented his place on team one, playing in 26 games and scoring 5 goals.
His style of playing impressed the managers of Burnley and after four seasons in Scotland, Fletcher joined the Premier League. On October 3 he scored his first goal in the English Championship against Birmingham. He continued his progress in the Premier League by joining Wolverhampton in 2010 and then Sunderland in 2012.
Although he's not known for being a highly technical player, Steven Fletcher has a habit of intimidating the other team's defense thanks to his imposing 6'1" physique. His club performances were rewarded with a placement on the national team but despite being born in England, Steven Fletcher decided to wear the colors of Scotland, his mother's native country. Today he has 25 appearances during which he scored 8 goals.
At 28 years old, the attacker is starting a new challenge in a career that's already impressive, where the experience that he gained in the Premier League is already a first-class reinforcement for Olympique de Marseille.
