Bilbao 1 - 1 OM: Lasanna Diarra Olympien of the match26 feb 2016
1 | Lasanna Diarra - 41%
Impeccable, as always, Lasanna Diarra regaled his crowd in midfield position. OM's number 10 made his opponents dizzy, multiplying the recoveries, usually followed by high class technical moves of which he holds the secret, to then give "clean" balls to his team mates. His perfect game play and his impeccable placement allowed him to intercept more balls than any other player on the field (5).
We say it to ourselves after each match, but this player is fabulous and to see him evolve at this level in the OM jersey on his back is a treat each time.
2 | Michy Batshuayi - 27.14%
Criticized these past weeks for his lack of efficiency and his problems in the game, Michy Batshuayi demonstrated against Bilbao that he had not lost any of his qualities. Partnered with Fletcher at the tip of the olympien attack, the Belgian striker played a full match in Spain. Player of the opener in San Mames, repeating it twice to deceive Herrerin with a powerful kick from the left, Michy also showed himself off during phases of possession. Very free and mobile, he did not hesitate to lend a hand to his team mates on the right side, abandoned by Cabella to make the play in the middle. He also often came back down to his half of the field to put pressure or to send the ball back up. When he plays like this, Batshuayi is irreplaceable.
3 | Remy Cabella - 9.52%
Positioned on the right side for the kick-off, Remy Cabella was quickly replaced in the axis by his coach, to leave more space for Bilbao on the side of Manquillo. A winning decision for the Spanish coach as Cabella proved inspired behind Fletcher and Batshuayi. Whirling, precise and tricky, the OM game leader played his role of maverick perfectly by intelligently positioning himself in between the basque lines to offer solutions to his partners, notably to Lasanna Diarra who was always able to find the midfield to launch his olympien offenses. Playing some unsettling technical moves, Cabella had a blast at San Mames.
