This season is conducive to the replacement of the lawn. And that would include the main playing grounds of the professional team. Work has already begun.

As they are the main tool for the Olympians, the training grounds of the Robert Louis-Dreyfus center are pampered every day. However, they must be completely and regularly replaced, in order to ensure optimum surface over time. Winters, whether harsh or not, leave some traces on the ground, and the main training ground of the Robert Louis-Dreyfus center, located at the foot of the sports building, is now renewed.
A specialized company is in charge of the site since the beginning of the week. The replacement process of the training ground follows a very accurate calendar.
The first step consists in stripping the old playground of about 4 centimeters in depth, which is nearly 400 cubic meters of soil in total.
Once the ground has been scalped, a laser blade will survey the field perfectly to level.
Then, they will have to drain the surface and soften the ground, with the arrival of 90 tons of sand spread over some cleverly positioned slots.
They will then start uncompressing and rolling the surface before you can sow nearly 1102 pounds of seeds in the middle of the following week.
It will take two months for the lawn to grow, by using a sprinkling and precise dosing of fertilizers, and that would be the gardeners’ responsibility.
In June, when the Olympians start training again, they will have a pitch perfect playground, ready to face spikes, the sequence of the seasons and the bad weather.
