This Monday, April 4th, 2016, I called a meeting with our President Vincent Labrune, our coach Michel, his deputy Franck Passi, and my advisors to take stock of the current sports situation and to continue our reflection on the future of our club.
I reiterated my deep attachment to the OM and my desire to see them play in the circle of major European clubs. The current situation is difficult and a big challenge for us all. Regarding the short-term, I am reassured by Michel's professionalism and willingness in carrying out the end of the season very well, with all his strength and energy. I am convinced that, with his competitive qualities at the highest levels and his great experience, he will get players to fully express themselves on the pitch without fear or stress, in order to honourably finish this championship and, win the Cup of France. Why not? I appeal to our players to show their worth, because I know it is great, despite what the media and sometimes the fans, who love our club, say. Let's get together in a positive way and let's stay especially united for the end of season. Because united we win, during and after the matches! This is crucial because, at the same time, there is work in progress for next season and I hear it is up to the aspirations of all those who really love the OM.
The various actions and implementation plans will be communicated by management in the following weeks. I count on everybody's commitment, without a second thought or speculation, as you can count on mine.
Long live the OM!
