The climate surrounding OM today leads me to make the following statement:
7 years ago now, my husband and the father of my children, who was dedicated to the OM, left this world. Out of respect for his memory, and even though I had many other important tasks and responsibilities, I have never abandoned the club and I have done my utmost to help it succeed.
We have had highs--winning the French championships in 2010 (the last time before that had been 1992) and taking the League cup 3 times, in 2010, 2011 and 2012-- and lows, notably the present moment. I am proud of our successes and do not blame anyone for the poor results of this season, I take full and complete responsibility.
I would remind you that I have made a personal stake of tens of millions of euros, to my knowledge no other private individual in France has contributed so much during this time. Of course, these contributions, which are considerable for a private individual, do not mean much in the modern football world, which has changed so much, dominated now by states or societies who specialize in raising near-unlimited capital. Their investments are made for commercial and political reasons that largely supersede the realm of sport. This has never been the case for Robert or for myself. We gave our money out of love and passion for football and for the OM in particular. I think that the time for sponsors is past.
I understand the frustration of seeing the OM unable to be competitive at this level and I have taken the decision to hand over the club to the best possible investor for the long term.
The price is not my primary concern, rather the new shareholder's ability to build a team that can win at the highest possible level is essential, I have asked my team of advisers to work on that. As soon as a buyer is chosen. I will inform Mr Mayor and the fans.
One of my sons has had serious health problems over the past few weeks, which has made it impossible for me to come out and support the team. I am deeply sorry for this.
I know that I have done and will continue to do my utmost for the OM and I hope that every one of you will also do the best you can for the love of this magnificent club. We can still win the Coupe de France, I am counting on you to defend our honor.

Long live the OM.
