With the victory of OM against Reims at the Stade Vélodrome (1-0), in the frame of the 37th day of League 1 2015-16, Lassana Diarra made a full match. Statistics.
We left left him injured at his left knee and supported by doctors off the pitch just when the OM was moving to Bastia on April 3rd (SCB 2-1 OM). After intensive rehabilitation between Clairefontaine and the Robert Louis-Dreyfus center, we saw him coming back into competition on May 1rst in Angers ( SCO OM 0-1 ) during the last half hour of the match, four weeks right after his injury.
Against Reims on Saturday ( OM 1-0 Reims ), Lass' has regained a central role in the team. Aligned in entry by Franck Passi to confront Reims, the international tricolor team was held up until the final whistle and did not give up nor physically or technically. The statistics of the number 10 of the Olympians against the Champenois are not like the ones usually displayed by players who have just come back from injury.First defensively, Diarra intercepted three balls and won 10 duels, including 2 in the air, more than any other player. We can also add his successful 6 tackles, and again nobody has done better on the field. Beyond being a safe side for the team, Lass' was also prominent in the development of team-game. He is the player who hit the most balls at the Vélodrome (79) and who attempted the most passes (72 of which 88% successful), especially in the opponent's half of the field (32, as Barrada).Another sign that Lassana Diarra is back in shape are his four successful dribbles, which were also better than any other player on the field and that often carried great ball lifts causing dangerous actions in favor of the OM.Two weeks before the finale of the Coupe de France, the rise of Diarra is obvious, but especially welcome.
