The Olympian of the month poll is now closed. Who succeeds Dimitri Payet? Results are unquestionable. Verdict.

It was obvious. Steve Mandanda wins the Olympian of the season 2015-16 trophy, with some 85% of the votes, and succeeds Dimitri Payet. He outstripped Lassana Diarra and Florian Thauvin.
He is the team boss. He also is the League 1 goalkeeper boss. With feet, hand and fists, Steve Mandanda made his opponents feel sick. «Il Fenomeno» was everywhere. His detractors will definitely only remember his 42 conceded goals, but he's one of the reasons OM kept on track. His amazing performances allowed him to receive the best League 1 goalkeeper trophy, outstripping Anthony Lopes and Kévin Trapp. A well deserved trophy given his impressive stats. As a real air master, Mandanda won 95% of his dogfights. Even better, he realized 9 parades against Lorient, his personal record during this season.
Loved by the people of Marseille, the Olympian leader has found, throughout 9 seasons, a special spot in his supporters' hearts, who worship him completely. "El Fenomeno" was proclaimed several times in the Velodrome. It sure gives goosebumps...An exemple in his goal post, everyone can agree on the fact that Steve Mandanda is also an example of a team leader. His speeches are always a motivating factor for his mates. His support is genuine. His huge arguments are always justified. With an unbroken record season, Steve Mandanda would have wanted to win the only national trophy he's missing with OM - the French Cup. But in vain...A few days ahead of the Euro, Didier Deschamps can still wonder…
Thanks leader!
