The OM will host Lyon in the 16th round of the French Cup final.

Winners against Toulouse at the Stadium in the 32nd round of the French Cup finals (1-2 AET), the Olympiens had to wait until the end of the evening to know their adversaries for round 16 of the finals. In fact, the draw held at the Parc OL in the early evening designated the winner of the Lyon-Montpellier matchup a few minutes later as the adversary for the OM in the next round. The suspense did not last very long since Bruno Genesio's men quickly took the lead in front of their supporters. At the halftime, the Lyonnais were already leading 3-0. In the second half, they increased the score and finally ended it 5-0 .
The OM will therefore host Lyon for round 16 of the finals of the 100th edition of the French Cup. The match will take place on Tuesday, January 31 or Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 at the Orange Vélodrome only ten days after a Lyon-OM match for the 21st day of Ligue 1.
