Taken on on a three-year contract, the international goalkeeper has returned to the club where he spent nine seasons. A period that encompassed some of the best years of his life - and now he has returned to pick up where he left off. With an insatiable appetite for victory.

A year ago, Steve Mandanda left the club in his own kind of Brexit, headed for Crystal Palace. Now, though he's back. As if nothing had happened. Time passes quickly, but the club has changed a lot over a few months. With new owners, a new direction, a new manager, and a new squad. Above all, with genuine ambition. Luckily, Steve Mandanda has a lot going for him.

Starting out in Le Havre, he was unveiled as a Marseille player in 2007, debuting against Caen in a 1-2 victory for Olympique on 25 August 2007) and built his career here. He built a life for himself here, as well as a career, match after match, season after season.

Awarded best goalkeeper in Ligue 1 four times (in 2008, 2011, 2015 and 2016), with truly exceptional skills, track record, and character, undeniable experience, and genuine appreciation of the sport. At Marseilles, Steve Mandanda is much more than just another recruit. He knows everything there is to know about the club, the city, and his passion, and about the expectations of the club's supporters, with whom he has a relationship built on mutual admiration.

At the age of 32, his thirst for victory is far from being extinguished. On the contrary. His ambition is as fervent as ever and aligns perfectly with that of his "new old" club. In the back of the net!
