Aymen Abdennour rejoins Olympique de Marseille

Valencia CF and Olympique Marseille came to an agreement to loan Aymen Abdennour who signed today after having passed his medical test.

Born in Sousse, in Tunisia, aged 28, the central defender is the 6th signing of the summer transfer window.

After two seasons at Valencia, in Spain, Aymen Abdennour will head back to a league he knows well.

Going through Toulouse and Monaco, the strong and physical central defender started his european career in Germany, in the colours of Werder Bremen.

At Marseille, he will be reunited, among others, with Adil Rami, who he came across in La Liga, and Valère Germain, with whom he played at Monaco.

Despite many offers in Europe, Aymen Abdennour was quick to confirm his strong interest in Olympique Marseille. Today he moves to OM, in a league he already knows. Experienced, skilful and easily settled in, his partnership with Adil Rami with strengthen the Marseille defence in the numerous matches this season. 

Aymen Abdennour will be presented in a press conference on Wednesday 30 August 2017 at 11:00 at the Centre Robert Louis-Dreyfus in the presence of the President, Jacques-Henri Eyraud and Sports Director, Andoni Zubizarreta. The press conference will be broadcasted live via club media.
