The Marseille striker has doubled up. This is the first time of the season an Olympian has been selected in consecutive months. Elected in April with 45% of the vote, he has done it again in May with 35% of the votes. With a goal and two assists for the last month of competition, Dimitri Payet was hampered by an injury through the last matches — including the Europa League final in Lyon against Atlético de Madrid. Nevertheless, his performance and his influence in games allowed him to win the vote for Olympien of the Month ahead of Bouna Sarr (16%) and Florian Thauvin (13%).
