With images of Didier Deschamps raising the Champions League troph in a venue covered in Les Olympiens' blue and white, there is no question that this is a home for Olympique Marseille. The updates are rather striking for the old regulars of the Paul Le Cesne stadium, located in the 9th district of the city. Since the improvements of the sports arena a few months ago, OM has installed impressive work to have a sports complex ready to re-open. It features brand new dressing rooms, accompanied by three synthetic fields and stands in the historical colors of the club.

It is a modern place complying with the requirements of the French Football Federation, which allows OM to host official matches for women's teams, amateur and youth academies.

Sunday afternoon's event featured many familiar faces to celebrate the opening of OM Campus: Gerard Gilli, Pancho Abardonado, Richard Martini, Alain Boghossian, Christian Caminiti, Jean-Charles Scotti (son of Roger Scotti), the Gavanon family and many others were present for the ceremony.

Jacques-Henri Eyraud:

«I am pleased to have the opportunity to develop this central project for training, something that is at the heart of our strategy, with Andoni (Zubizarreta) and the entire staff. This is OM Campus, an emblematic place in the heart of the city, in Marseille. A place that is 100% financed by the club, which today marks a great milestone for Olympique de Marseille.»

Alain Boghossian:

«This is a proud day, to have a field in my name. I am proud to be the first player from the OM Academy to be world champion and I hope that in the future, there will be more facilities like these. Olympique de Marseille is a family, it's a real pleasure to be together and to be united behind this team.»
