2017-2018 Season - Europa League - quarter-final Leg 2 - OM-Leipzig (5-2) : The reaction of Rudi Garcia after a record-setting and dramatic night at the Orange Velodrome.

Rudi Garcia : «We will do everything to make it to the final»

"Yes we did it tonight, it is pretty huge. I am delighted for the players, for my group and the Marseille supporters. It was a volcanic Velodrome tonight. It definitely played a role in the match, it motivated me and over motivated our players. It's a beautiful night, we conceded a goal after a few seconds and then we managed to put five past them. To have such a performance, it required the group to give all their heart and their talent, that's what they did. I'm delighted to have done it with two youngsters, both Kamara and Lopez on the team. This is a great moment in the season for Olympique de Marseille, for us, for our group, we do not want to stop here. We will do everything to make it to the final now, no matter the opponent.

"We had a real 12th man, as we like it. We are happy that they are behind us —  we will need it in the league too, because we must fight to finish inside the top-3. Then we will have at least one leg and one European Cup semi-final match to play here too.

“Whoever the opponent, it will be a quality team. Salzburg: we know them. Athletico and Arsenal will be tough too. The players showed tonight that Olympique Marseille is also a great team. It's up to us to do our jobs in the semi-finals and do everything to go to Lyon to play in the final.

“Tonight we will savor this and tomorrow we will talk about Troyes (laughs). Indeed this match must demonstrate that we still have our say in the league, and that this team is capable of doing great things.”
