Florian Thauvin, Bouna Sarr, Amavi Jordan, Dimitri Payet and Maxime Lopez reacted after Thursday’s success in the Europa League semi-final at the Orange Velodrome against Salzburg (2-0).

Florian Thauvin: "Once again, we had big support"

"It's interesting to not concede a goal. Was it the perfect score? I do not know ... It would have been better with one more goal. We did a good job, we'll have to stay focused, calm, and not get too emotional. We have to try to win the return leg. We must keep a cool head and go until the end. There is also the league which is very important. It will not be easy through the end of the season. We had  big support once again. It was amazing, thanks to you, thanks to our supporters we had a great evening. I hope they have enjoyed it as much as we do."

Bouna Sarr: "A good lead for the second leg"

"The whole team played a great match, everyone was supportive. It was not easy to hold this score but it is a good lead for the second leg. If we can score a goal there, they will have to put four, that's a very good situation. We suffered a bit at the end of the match but we remained solid and together until the end. The group has confidence in each other and everyone’s qualities. We know what we are capable of, plus we had the support of the 12th man, it is very important in this kind of games. We were rather confident, we answered the challenge and we will have to do it again on Sunday and Thursday."

Jordan Amavi: "Everyone was concerned"

"The work has been done. Everyone has been concerned, including the players in the game. That's our strength this season. In recent weeks, there have been a lot of big comebacks and we are only up 2-0 against a good team, we will go play at their home and it will be another match.”

Dimitri Payet: "We only have one foot in the final"

"We said before the game that regardless of the result of the first leg — we would not be qualified or eliminated, but we could take big step in either direction. We did it but the job is only halfway done, we only have one foot in the final, we will have to put the second one."

Maxime Lopez: "We are not immortal"

"It's good, we did not allow a goal but we must remain focused because there is still 90 minutes next Thursday. We will remain humble because with all the other comebacks this year in Europe, we are not safe from a surprise.”
