Rudi Garcia : «We did not allow a goal».

"It was important to take the three points. We absolutely wanted to win. We did not know if we had the quality to win by so much, because we were tired, we had a big preseason and we did not always have very good results.

"The players showed that they were competitors. I'm really happy that our attackers scored. A brace from Dimitri (Payet), a goal from Germain and Flo (Thauvin) after coming into play."

"We did not allow a goal, which wasn't the case in our preseason. It is a satisfying to have done it in front of 63,000 fans of Olympique de Marseille. It must be remembered that they came because we had a high quality season last year, and people want to find those emotions again. Tonight we still had great emotions with them but we must remain humble  - we only have three points, will have to focus on Nimes now."

"With VAR, it's much more accurate, Luiz Gustavo said there was handball from Amian on the header by Valère (Germain), which was surely out of sight for Baptiste Reynet. Without the Video Assistant Referee we would not have had this penalty."
