Located north of the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, Domžale is a city of 34000 inhabitants whose football club, the NK Domžale, was created in 1921. The club waited until the 2000s to win its first trophy with two league titles (2007, 2008), two Cups of Slovenia (2011, 2017) and two Super Cups of Slovenia (2007, 2011).
